Took over frontend development on a semi-functional SigmaVue trading app—auth, WebSockets, multi-profile flows, trading journal, TanStack Query, feature-first refactor, and Whop/Discord/Telegram integration work.

Project overview

I took over frontend development on SigmaVue's trading platform through PrideRock. The product already had a basic, semi-functional app—I focused on finishing core user flows, stabilizing auth, shipping real-time features, and refactoring the frontend into a maintainable structure the team could keep building on.

Where things started

The platform had early UI and partial functionality in place, but key frontend systems were incomplete or unreliable. My work was to move it toward a production-ready experience without owning the Django backend.

  • Auth flows were incomplete and sign-in/sign-out behavior needed fixes
  • Real-time updates were not fully wired through the client
  • Multi-profile and account workflows needed end-to-end frontend completion
  • Data fetching patterns needed to be more consistent and maintainable
  • The codebase needed clearer structure as features grew

What I delivered on the frontend

All major delivery below was frontend implementation, UI architecture, and client-side integration—working with existing APIs and coordinating with the backend team when required.

Core product features

  • Completed authentication implementation and resolved sign-in/sign-out issues
  • Implemented WebSocket-driven updates across trading workflows
  • Built multi-profile support end to end in the product UI
  • Implemented the trading journal experience
  • Improved TanStack Query usage for more reliable data loading and cache behavior
  • Refactored the frontend to a feature-first structure for clearer ownership and scaling

Integrations and operational tooling

  • Frontend and script work around subscription/access flows (including Whop-related integration)
  • Discord and Telegram integration work tied to product access and community workflows
  • Supporting scripts and automation hooks where frontend coordination was required

Backend collaboration

Primary backend development stayed with the Django team. I did not lead backend platform work—I only made minor backend adjustments when the backend team was unavailable, while keeping frontend delivery moving.

Outcome

  • Moved a semi-functional app toward a more complete, stable trading platform UI
  • Shipped auth, real-time updates, multi-profile flows, and trading journal on the frontend
  • Improved frontend maintainability through TanStack Query and feature-first refactoring
  • Kept integrations (Whop, Discord, Telegram, scripts) connected through sustained frontend work

Why it matters

This is proof of taking ownership of a complex product frontend mid-stream: fixing real auth and real-time issues, finishing major user-facing features, and leaving the codebase in better shape—without overclaiming full-stack platform delivery.
